Két szegedi kendós Veronában járt edzőtáborban.Erről rövid írás és néhány kép formájában teszünk jelentést...

(Two kendokas from Szeged have attended a kendo seminar in Verona. Here are some pictures and a short report about the event, also translated to English for the sake of our Italian friends:)

Az edzőtábor mindenképp sikeresnek volt mondható, sokat tanultunk belőle, sokan is voltunk hozzá (a szombati napon 100 feletti létszám), de a legfontosabb, hogy több 8 és 7 danos japán és koreai mester jelenlétében lehettünk. Ezt igazolandó, le is fényképeztük magunkat velük együtt.

(The seminar was quite successful, we could learn a lot. There were plenty of attendants - on Saturday more than 100 people - but what's even more important, we had the chance to practice with the help of a lot of teachers from Japan and Korea with 8th or 7th dan. As a confirmation of this you can see some photos.) 

A képeken látható szake kóstolás a szombat délutáni edzés után történt, a japán mesterek jóvoltából mindenki ihatott egy korty japán borpárlatot - nekem ízlett.

(After Saturday afternoon's training we could drink some sake thanks to the Japanese teachers - as for me, I liked it :)

Sikerült új ismerősökre is szert tenni, akikkel jó kendós hagyományoknak megfelelően nem csak kendóztunk, hanem ettünk és ittunk is :). Sikeresen megkóstoltattuk velük a a magyar Unicum-ot, merthogy minden valamire való veronai vendéglőben volt belőle kínálat. Mi ellenben grappát ittünk (édes pálinka talán?)

(We managed to get acquainted with some new friends. According to the old kendo traditions, apart from practicing kendo we also ate and drank with them. We made them try the Hungarian Unicum, since it was available in most of the Veronese bars. To keep the balance during the cultural exchange we drank Italian grappa.) 

Vasárnap dan vizsga folyt délelött, ami szintén - különböző okok miatt - de sikeresnek volt mondható, mert én kaptam fokozatot, Hatvani Lóri meg (remélhetőleg :) ) tanult belőle. (Láttam, ahogy vizsga után szinte azonnal letámadja a mestereket a kérdéseivel :) ).

(There was a dan examination on Sunday, which can be considered as successful because of different reasons: I passed my exam while Lóri (hopefully) also learned from it - I saw him running to the teachers to ask for some pieces of advice right after the exam.)

Délután szabad programunk volt, ezt városnézéssel, majd a hideg beállta után (0 fok körül) olyan intézményekben folytattuk, ahol élelemhez, kávéhoz és persze sörhöz is juthattunk.

(In the afternoon we had free time, which we spent with sightseeing, but when the weather turned cold we visited some places where we could obtain some food, coffee and beer of course.)

A város egyébként nagyon szép, nagy a forgatag és a forgalom, reggelenként jól láthatóak a Dolomitok hófödte csúcsai.

(The city itself is beatiful, there are a lot of people and a heavy traffic and in the morning you can see the peaks of the Dolomites covered with snow.)

Rövid kirándulást Velencében is tettünk, ami nagyon szép, de a hideg szeles időben kávé és sör nélkül talán annyira nem tetszett volna...

(We took a short excursion to Venice as well, which was beautiful, but in such cold and windy weather perhaps we wouldn't have liked it that much without coffee and beer...)
